Amateur Satellite footprint.
A balanced modulator designed and built by a club member.
Screen view showing part of a contact in PSK 31 digital mode using MixW software. This mode - invented by a radio amateur - uses very narrow bandwidth.

A multi-band, multi-mode transceiver, covering the HF, VHF and UHF bands, being used in a World Wide 48 hour contest..
A view of satellite positions provided by the 'Sat PC' program. The footprint (highlighted) covers the UK and information is given to help the amateur to aim signals at a transponder on the satellite which re-transmits them to far distant stations.

A compact receiver designed for the high frequency bands.
Testing access to the local repeater using a 'hand-held'.
A phase shifting network for single sideband(i.e. efficient) transmission.

A neatly mounted mobile antenna for use on the 2 metre bands.

'Slim Jim' VHF antenna
'Slim Jim' VHF antenna mounted in the loft -space. However it would give better results mounted outside.
This would be possible as the structure is rigid and capable of being clamped to a standard TV aerial fixing.
