RURAL OUTREACH FUND 2006/7
Criteria
General
· The
fund will only be accepted with the support of a
VLO.
· The
fund can only be used to support projects which will provide additional
resources, or enhance existing resources, not subsidise existing services or
resources, other than in exceptional circumstances.
· Projects
should demonstrate that they address rural isolation and specifically address
the criteria below.
· The
fund will only support projects which are to the benefit of communities or
organisations where a VLO is present.
Only
bids which fall/come under any one of the following headings will be supported
by the funds:

Improving
access to services & facilities
·
Improving
access to information
·
Provision
of training
·
Building
the capacity of community groups
·
Support
to voluntary and community organisations
·
Promoting
community safety initiatives
·
Promoting
volunteering opportunities to residents
